Roo and Neil Glasgow, UK
Roo Geddes and Neil Sutcliffe combine their shared experience across Classical, Folk and Jazz to create original music for
violin and accordion. Based in Glasgow, their compositions are inspired by landscape, people and community.
The pair first met as students of the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland’s Juniors’ School, aged 13 and have been playing ever since.

My father was born in Glasgow, yet somehow I have never visited Scotland. This lovely music sounds like my ticket of return to the country of his birth.

Scottish folk centred around fiddle and piano. The album begins with Dawn Chorus, which slowly awakens to the rising sun. There are reflective compositions throughout, while Almost Home and Ascending lift the mood back up. I think Megan Henderson and Lauren MacColl should do a gig together.

Amazing music from a real character - bought this album after an incredible night at Glassel where we were treated to a very special performance by Hamish, Ross and others (sorry can't remember all the names) of The Railway and Sanctuary.... Thanks guys it's a night that will fill my ears for a long time...
